It's a Christian series that just warms the heart. My mom also loved them. If your gram like those books, she'll probably also like the Joan Medlicott series - Ladies of Covington. When mom finished that series, she called me & said she felt like she was losing her best friend. They are that good! Have fun on your trip! PS - I like the shoes! That was a good read. Lifetime made a movie out of it. Memory Keeper's Daughter has a subject that is near and dear to my heart but I just thought it was okay. I won't go into it more until after you read the book I wrote though. Oh, Memory Keeper's Daughter was made into a movie recently too. I haven't watched it yet.
