For Me, It’s All Things Mickey

May 30, 2008 · 12 comments

Friday already?  It’s amazing how much faster the week goes by in the summer!  You know what Friday means though right?  Uh-huh.  Finish This Sentence!

When it comes to _________________, I’m your go-to girl (or guy).

This one is another no brainer for me.  When it comes to Walt Disney World travel planning, I am such the go-to girl.  No really, I am.  Check out the unbeatable advice me and eleven of my Disneyphile counterparts have to offer here.

So, that’s my area of expertise.  What about you?  What are you insanely knowledgeable about?

Hi Darcie,

You certainly are a great Mickey go-to girl. When it comes to Disney World (and all things Mickey), I’m also a great go-to girl.

P.S. I like reading your blog. Keep up the good work!

Birthdays, I know birthdates of lots of people. Of course I know my family, but I remember people’s birthdays that I have not spoken to in years. Its just something I seem to retain… and there is not much I retain these days

Hmm, well at work, I’m the resident IT ‘expert’, so I’m the ‘go to’ girl for any computer or printer problem that anybody has. Even if all I do is tell them to reboot – which is what the usual fix is. :)

I have been thinking about this post wondering what it is that I have expertise in. It has been a very thoughtful morning as I am a “jack of all trades but a master on none”

But it has just occured to me that when it comes to public bathrooms across the country, I your go to girl.

Why is it that our children must visit EVERY BLESSED PUBLIC BATHROOM!

Thanks for letting me vent!

Happy Friday!

I would say kids party planning. I have planned themed bday parties for both of my kids every yr since bday #1 (they are now 4 1/2 and 3). Themes have included Dora’s Island Adventure, Hundred Acre Wood Pool Party, Disney Princess, Strawberry Shortcake Tea Party, Peanuts (Charlie Brown), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Diego’s Rainforest Rescue. We are currently working on my daughter’s “Dive Into Five” party (Little Mermaid) set for July. I’m a bit of a nut about it, but definitely the “Go To Girl” when it comes to party planning.

I would be the go-to girl for online shopping. I can usually always score some type of a deal online with a special code or offer. It’s probably more an illness than a talent, though! :)

blogging/product reviews, scholarships (I used to be a high school guidance counselor), and writing conventions (spelling, sentence structure, etc.). Hmmm…I’m more of a nerd than I originally though. ;)

Oops! I meant: “…than I originally thought.”

(and I just said I was a writing expert).
