Everyone dishes about Lost and Grey’s Anatomy and House and Bones and Dancing with The Stars. But I can’t dish about those shows because believe it or not I’ve never seen them. So lets dish in a TV language I can understand. Grab your remote and popcorn and pop a squat for a minute or two.
Okay, all you Desperate Housewife fans…what the heck was up with that season finale last night?! If you have this Tivo’d and haven’t watched yet, then don’t read any further because I’ve got spoilers here…
In that whole ’5 years later’ part did you notice that Benjamin was nowhere to be seen? I’m thinking maybe Danielle had a change of heart. And any guesses as to what happens with Edie and Travvers (what kind of name is Travvers btw)? And my jaw hit the floor when Susan kissed that “Honey I’m Home” dude at the very end. It had to happen though. Mike and Susan just didn’t have any chemistry as old married folk. Somewhere along the line Mike lost his spunk. I can’t wait to see what they do with this new storyline.
A soap is a soap no matter what time of the day it comes on right? Desperate sort of took over the Days of Our Lives slot in my life. I just don’t have time for it anymore but I need my fix nonetheless. If anyone wants to catch me up on the latest scoop I certainly wouldn’t complain.
And now, back to your regularly scheduled discussion of prime time TV.
Is our family the only one who’ll do back-flips when Heroes finally comes back on? Alright already. The writers strike is done gone. Couldn’t we have gotten at least one episode before all those Hollywood types went on their fabulous exotic island summer vacations?
Oh, here’s a good one that runs brand new episodes all summer long! The Closer. If you haven’t seen this TNT show you’re really missing a good thing. It’s sort of a cross between Law and Order and Ally Mc Beal. That’s my take anyway. We saw it for the first time last summer and we were hooked. Between Tivo and Netflix we’ve seen every episode there is to see. We’re so looking forward to the return of Miss Brenda Lee.
Enough with the TV. Let’s move on to bigger and better topics.
Well, maybe not better but definitely bigger.
I saw this cow on the Today show last week. I know, I know. I said I was done with the TV talk, but c’mon, check out the title of this post. Anyway, you’ve got to go have a look at this thing. Now that, my friends, is a side of beef.

The Closer is one of my absolute favorite shows – I can’t wait to see new episodes this summer! :)
And I’m with you on Heroes too – it’s been way too long for sure.
Well, can you believe I sat down with my coffee and my laptop and my remote control, turned on Desperate Housewives and proceeded to watch, until a commercial. Which of course I am just so above watching, so I flipped to the Office reruns, and promptly got sucked into reading my email on my laptop, and forgot to flip back. I missed about 75% of Desperate Housewives, so I have no idea about anything you mentioned above! I didn’t even know about the 5 years later thing!
Sheesh. If I could just try to stop multi-tasking…
OK Darcie,
I haven’t read your post because today is the day I fold laundry and…WATCH DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. SO I didn’t want to read the spoilers.
This is the first time I have admitted this to anyone, because know one on the net ever admits they watch this show (oh the same). ;)
It is, literally, the only show I watch on TV (I watch it on the net – kristenkj, go to abc.go.com, full episodes for free!!).
I have never been so excited to fold my laundry!
I will fold. Watch and fold. And then i’ll be back. oh yes I will!

I can’t read this yet, i’ve yet to catch up on my DVR for Desparate Housewives. ;)
Oh my goodness! I promise this is the first time reading this here, but I blogged about DH yesterday too. How bizarre! Same brain with me is scary for you!
Ok, if you’ll believe this I’ve never seen ANY of the shows you’ve mentioned except for Heroes (yes we love that show!) And I did love Ally McBeal. I’m such a dud when it comes to good TV gossip!
Steph
Okay I finally watched DH! OMG, is this the season finale or the SERIES finale? Will they really take off next time after 5 years or will they show what happened in that five years? I totally laughed out loud at Gaby, she looked like…well….me! ;) TWINS, ha ha, that’ll show her! Lynette’s boys getting into trouble was funny too, and I think we could see that coming.
Was I the only one just boiling at Kayla’s attitude. Oh no she di’int! Wow.
Oh and we are Heroes fans too!! Can’t wait to get back to that show!
