I’ve been tagged. Again. This time Soliloquy from She Just Had To Say It came up with an altogether new meme to pass around the blogdom. Jeff has been out of town on business which means the kids have been running me ragged which means that I am so up for ready-made blogging material. Here goes nothin.
Favorite person (outside family)? I have lots of favorite people but at this very moment the guy working hard in my yard and pulling the out of control weeds that I’ve been nagging my husband to take care of for months ranks right up there.
Favorite food? Mashed potatoes.
Quirks about you? I have spastic tendencies. All sorts of them.
How would the person who loves you most describe you in ten words or less? I asked Jeff and he says, “You are the reason I am better today than yesterday.” Aw. How sweet is he?
Any regrets in life? It’s hard to call them regrets because if I changed anything I might not be where I am today. And there isn’t anywhere else I’d rather be. There are a few things I’d have done differently though if given the opportunity.
Favorite Charity/ Cause? I think St. Jude’s is awesome. I’m also big on Down syndrome awareness and education. Oh, and our soldiers and thier families. I think that they need more help than they get.
Favorite Blog recently? I’ve been thoroughly enjoying La Vida Dulce and Take 90 West.
Something you cant get enough of? Jeff and I love the TV show, The Closer. Thank goodness a new season starts next month.
Worst job you’ve ever had? I worked at Burger King to earn the money to pay for my first car. For the first few days of the job I was required to stand in a small crevice of space behind the flame broiler thing and feed frozen patty after frozen patty into the fire during my entire six hour shift. I was a vegetarian then. I am even more so now.
What job would you pay NOT to have? Hmmm. I couldn’t be a nurse. Too much in the way of blood and bodily fluids.
If you could be a fly on the wall, where? The Cheesecake Factory. Craig’s Crazy Carrot Cake Cheesecake rocks my world and I would love to add the recipe to my collection. They won’t give it out though.
Favorite Bible verse right now? Same as always. Psalm 46:1. “God is my refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble.”
Guilty Pleasure? Eating dinner in front of the TV with Jeff on nights when the kids are out.
Got any confessions? I only clean my bathroom every two weeks. I suck spiders up with my vaccuum cleaner. I always fall asleep before I’m done praying. I use way too much butter when I cook.
If you HAD to spend $1,000 on YOURSELF, how would you spend it? I am in desperate need of a new wardrobe. No joke.
Favorite thing about your house? It’s very deceiving. We live in the desert in one of those flat roof houses. People have no idea that when they walk inside it is huge and open and really quite beautiful even if I do say so myself.
Least favorite thing about your house? Oh. My. Goodness. I can’t even begin to tell you how many cutouts and ledges we have. Way too many places for the dust to accumulate.
One thing you are bad at? Holding my tongue.
One thing youre good at? I’m decent in the kitchen.
If you could change something about your circumstances, what? I wish there were less turmoil in my extended family right about now.
Who would you like to meet someday? Jesus.
What makes you feel sexy? My pre-nine-pound-baby body.
Who is your real life hero? My husband. For so many reasons.
What is the hardest part of your job? Balance. Being firm with the kids for their own sakes while still being a fun mom they want to have around.
When are you most relaxed? On Friday nights, after the first glass of wine that kicks off the weekend.
What stresses you out? Oh, that’s so easy. The dumb sports blaring on the TV. I can’t stand the speed and the up and down tone in which those guys yell speak.
What can you not live without? I’m so addicted to the internet. I need a 12 step program.
Do you agree or disagree with the recent article that reported that blogs are authored by narcissists? Disagree. It has more to do with an outlet than narcissism.
Why do you blog? It’s the perfect gig for me. I’m a writer. Jeff is an awesome web designer. It’s like a big ‘ol love triangle.
