We Don’t Know What To Do With Ourselves
Okay friends, I need some input. Here’s the scoop:
The girls are away at what I like to call Dad camp. They’ll be gone for a few weeks and Jeff and I would like to take full advantage of the fact that our child load has decreased by a full 75%. What should we do?
Last night we went to a local restaurant and enjoyed half price cocktails and appetizers. This was one of those places that we wouldn’t want to drag four children into, but one was fine. We don’t really have a babysitter here with the exception of Torri, so we have to stick with activities that Jayce can tag along on. I’m just not well-versed on the perks afforded to parents of just one so I need some suggestions. So, please, help a girl out wouldya?
How about…relax???
Do you have any drive in movies?
How about a quick trip to Disneyland or Disney World? Can you drive to Disneyland from where you live? With just the three of you, it would be a totally different trip. It would be very special.
How about have a cook our with ADULT HUMANS for ADULT CONVERSATION!
How about a fun day that DAD pl;ans!!!!
How about relaxing and reading a book!
Good luck and have fun!
Rent movies, go to a storytime at at library, or just go to a playground and chill at home!
I can’t even fathom what I’d do without kiddos! Sleep I think! And read a book!
I think the drive-in movie suggestion is a great one!
As a mom to an only child…here’s my thoughts:
Rent movies and enjoy a late night dinner at home when Jayce goes to sleep. Order take out and it’s even better.
Sit under the stars and enjoy the quiet.
Visit a bookstore.
Picnic at a local park.
Amusement park, museums and gardens.
A long bubble bath.
Read a book.
Enjoy your time while the girls are at Dad Camp!!
