Sounds like a great trip and great pictures.

And, just in case, the Alamo was where Texas battled to gain it’s independence from Mexico (Davey Crockett and all)…thanks to that year of Texas history, I can tell you that!

I bet they insisted you play Shanghai Rummy to go along with those Asian Gardens – both on the itinerary for our trip to Kelly & Geoff’s in April – we discussed the confused tea gardens and also how they tend to suggest the games they are very good at. I distinctly remember Kelly saying, “I can’t help it I’m so good at the game… sorry.” I think the score was like Kelly 420, Geoff 350, Mike 100, Karen -240. But next month when we meet them in GA we have some new games for them!

What a great trip! Did you know The Mister went to PT school on that same Army Base? That quadrangle was where we took all our out of town guests too!

Oh and I embarrassed myself at the Alamo when I said loudly, “Always remember the Alamo!” When someone looked at me and said “Its “Never forget the Alamo!’”

So apparently not being a history buff must be another Oct 21st kind of thing!

Nice post – thanks for visiting we had a great time! By the way you forgot to mention that Kelly also dislikes tomatoy, oniony, creamy, or burnt :) We eat lots of bread and rice, so for me Los Barrios was a real treat.

Looks like fun! I’ve never been there myself, but would love to see the Riverwalk.

And Jayce…aw man, he should totally be a child model. Everytime I see his pic I just want to squeeze him, he is soooo adorable. And really, just the right age for Lilly. Maybe we could arrange something. I’d love to have you guys for in-laws. :)
