We had one of those weekends that flew by. Probably because we packed it full of fun stuff. Like seeing Up. Followed by lunch at a new burger/shake find. And then we visited the Sonoran Desert museum (which is more of a desert-ish zoo actually) for their Saturday summer nighttime hours. We saw snakes and scorpions and javalina-oh my! It was a full day.
Then, yesterday, we tried a new church (which wasn’t as awkward as I’ve been imagining) followed by an all-day marathon of errand running and shopping in town. And not shopping for fun stuff like shoes and clothes either. I mean Costco shopping. Not so fun.
While we were at that burger restaurant on Saturday I had to use the ladies room. Earth shattering news, I know. But I’m telling you because it is one of the most unnerving restrooms I’ve ever seen. First of all, there are no stalls: it’s a one-woman kind of place. When you walk in, you see the commode directly in front of you. The wall to the left of it is all mirror from the waist up. The wall to the right is… Well. See for yourself.
I kid you not. The Pee Pee Paparazzi squad.
Because of the mirrored wall it seems as though your are completely surrounded by these guys as you sit (or squat in my case; public toilets aren’t my thang) and do your business.
It’s a tad unnerving. Even though you know full well that it’s wallpaper. Something about it creeps me out.
But it’s funny though.

Oh my goodness….there is no way I could pee with that on the wall. And your title is still making me giggle.

There used to be a restaurant in OC called Buffalo Ranch that had an animatronic buffalo head over the bar that moved and made buffalo sounds (I assume) and snorted smoke from it’s nostrils. When you went into the ladies’ room, as you came around the corner after entering, there was a fake cowboy taking a leak in the corner. You could hear the shrieks of surprise as each unsuspecting lady went in. Hi-larious.
I think the pee-pee-razzi is worse! Or better, depending…
Gotta love someone who has bathroom humor! ;) I once blogged about a seriously expensive toilet seat that features dead butterflies in the swirled plastic pattern. Some things I just don’t get, but this is kinda funny.
lol that is freaking awesome! The cameras would maybe freak me out; but let’s be serious, I haven’t gotten to pee by my self on the regular for.five.years…
You know what would be funny? If they had a mommy spa get away somewhere that had assorted whining children ‘stall’paper – you know to make the mommies feel like they’re at home… Oh yeah and the sounds of random things breaking, because a pottybreak is not a pottybreak if no one gets hurt. You simply must share the name of this joint so that if I am ever ‘in your neck of the woods’ I can subject my daughter to the Pee Pee Paparazzi.

Hmmm, how awkward. I think I would have sat there giggling the whole time. Like the kind of laughing that you feel silly about, because you’re cracking up by yourself. I thought about repainting my bathroom, but this would be way more fun… ;)

Am I the only one who feels just sick about the Jon & Kate situation? I watched their premiere episode and I just hate the whole thing. Hopefully someone can intervene on their behalf and help them to work through it.
Ok, this has to be one of the most delightfully tacky things I have ever seen. I would totally put that in the basment bathroom. I’d actually like to have a whole room devoted to the things I know are tacky, but love anyway.
