So Totally Monday

It was so totally Monday.

School has been back in session for precisely two weeks.  And guess what.  No school today.  Already with that.

So instead of just Jayce and I running late for swimming lessons, it was four of us running late.  Cassidy refusing to put on her shoes.  Jayce insisting on helping her.  Which, of course, ended badly.  I wonder what the other moms thought when I hauled Cassie onto the pool deck wearing one shoe while the other foot was bare?

At Target I spent $40 I don’t exactly have at the moment on a clearance booster seat.  Because we really need one for the second car.  And at half off?  I robbed Peter.  So sue me.

I had twelve library books that needed to be returned.  I went online yesterday and attempted to renew all of them.  I was unsuccessful.  Someone is dying to have a Bernstein Bears book and put it on hold.  Thereby preventing me from renewing it.  Hence the trip to the library.

Guess what I found when I got home?

The Bernstein Bears book had fallen out of my reusable canvas shopping bag and found its way underneath a seat.  So I successfully returned the eleven books that weren’t due until August 20th.  But the one I’m paying late fees on?  In my car it remains.

Grrr.

Tuesday will be better.

I just know it.
