It’s Saturday again…which means it’s time for me to provide you with some hassle free web surfing.  Buckle up.

  • Have you seen this?  He’s one lucky dad if you ask me.
  • Psst.  Thanksgiving is less than a week away.  You hosting?  Looking to serve something other than pumpkin pie for dessert?  I may be a simpleton.  But this Pumpkin-Maple Bread Pudding sounds heavenly.
  • I’m hosting.  Want to see the Thanksgiving table centerpiece I’m opting for?  You only need to watch the first minute or so of the video. {Head up Grams and Gramps: if you watch it you’ll ruin the surprise}.
  • Speaking of Grams…she’s been giving me a hard time about the “tattoos” I’ve been sporting in all of my pictures here on the blog.  They’re watermarks in reality.  She knows that, but she never turns down the opportunity to razz me.  I have a good reason for adding a watermark.  It’s because I don’t want to end up like Extraordinary Mommy. {I know it’s sorta old news, but my “tattoos” brought it to mind}.
  • Perhaps you’ve had it up to here with Thanksgiving already.  Well fine then.  Let’s talk Christmas.  My friend Heather has the scoop on how to score ABSOLUTELY FREE holiday cards.  I ordered mine today!

So there you have it.  Go on now.  Click away. :)

I love the table centerpiece. Where did you get the container? I might have to steal the idea since I have absolutely no plans yet for Thanksgiving dinner.

Crazy story about the photo!

I think this is the second time in the history of me reading your blog that I am the first comment. Big deal, right?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! For the link to Heather’s blog, I mean :-) I have been falling a little behind on my reader and I would be miffed if I missed that one!

And the boy on the train? I would be hysterical. SO scary. What an awesome red-haired woman.

Great links! Wow, that dad is a lucky guy! How amazing that there was a nice lady there to sit with the child…God forbid there had been no on on the platform or worse!

That centerpiece looks great! Can’t wait to see pics of yours.

That story about the dad and the 3-year-old on the subway almost made my heart stop for a second. I would have absolutely been terrified.

Thank goodness for that “good samaritan” woman who waited with the little boy! It’s so nice when you read about kind people like that – especially when the media so often features the scary and creepy people.
