I’ve required prescription eyeglasses since I was 16.
But then–a few years back–I got lasik. I absolutely reveled in my 20/20 vision. I gladly kissed my geeky eyewear goodbye. I threw out my contact solution and did a happy dance.
Time passed.
And then one day, I woke up and realized I couldn’t see the alarm clock. I made an optometrist appointment and there it was there that my worst fears were confirmed: my vision had reverted right back to where it had been pre-lasik. Apparently, I can thank Jayce pregnancy hormones for that.
The bad news?
I’m not a candidate for a “fix-it” surgery because my corneas are too thin. {Nevermind my patience}.
Back to square one for me. Glasses.
These were the cutest I could find.
Watcha think?

Can you say “Hot Librarian?”
Love them!
And your new haircut!!
Very cute! They suit you.
Will you wear all the time, or are they just for reading?
I’ve thought you were simply adorable from the moment I first saw you in a crowded Nashville conference hall. Now? You are smokin’, girl.
Might have to go find a non-pres pair for me…very cute!
I had heard that pregnancy can do that. I have never seen a case where it actually happened. I’m so sorry. I want lasik badly but I am waiting till we are done having kiddos. :)
I really like your glasses and am also curious if you will need to wear them all the time or if you can wear contacts also? I can’t see my feet without mine so I mainly wear contacts.
Very cute specs! The same thing happened to me – lasik (twice) and my eyes are no longer 20/20. I’m scared to go back for a 3rd enhancement and wonder if I can live w/ glasses and/or contacts again.
I love the bling on the sides! Sooooo cute.
Very cute!
Love your hubby’s comment! You are beautiful!
I’ve worn glasses/contacts since 5th grade!
Steph
Well you know, Tina Fey is the crush of every man so you’ve got that goin’ for ya.
I have AWFUL vision. Glasses since 3rd grade. The first thing I do in the morning is put my contacts in, and taking them out is the last thing at night. Even though it’s a pain in the rear, I’m still scared to do lasik. We’ll see. Maybe when I’m done having babies.
Chic. Very chic. Makes you finally look old enough to be a mom of teens!
Hot Momma!!! Cute! That’s a bummer about the Lasik…I had it a few years ago too and I love it! I would be so bummed to have to go back to glasses/contacts!
Cute glasses! I look horrible in glasses :(
I had lasik about 4 years ago. I have glare problems and floaters but I still have 20/20 vision.
I LOVE, LOVE them!! So cute! I need new glasses like that!
I LOVE them! I wish I had the face shape to wear that style of frame. You go girl!
Very cute glasses! And hair! You look adorable, as usual. :-)
Definitely cute – they’re super stylish and they frame your face exactly right!
I have the hardest time picking out glasses and I never seem to be completely satisfied with my choice. Maybe that’s why I opted for contacts this time around…
Love them and you look like a teenager….You look awesome
I like them a LOT!!! I think they may make you look younger or something…seriously!
Love them. Honestly I’ve never seen you have a less than HOT moment. I’ve been near-sighted since my early 20s which was a LONG time ago. I’ve tried to get contacts in my eyes. Failed twice. And scared of lasik. Just wish that I looked like a hot librarian in my glasses. You rock!
Super cute and stylish! You look great!
You look great! I also think strong black frames would look cool on you…buddy holly style :)
I had very thin corneas too. I had Lasek instead. Is that an option? If not, the glasses are WAY cool and you look great in them!
Cute…very cute! ;)
